Sodium Saccharin is a white,odorless,and intensely sweet crystalline powder.It is primarily an artificial sweetener and approximately 300 times as sweet as sucrose (regular sugar).Sodium saccharin is most commonly used as food additive to sweeten products such as candies,vitamins,salad dressings,gum,table sweeteners,jam,caaned fruit,drinks,medicines,toothpaste and much more.It is also used in the pharmaceutical,cosmetic and electroplating industries as a nickel plating brightener.

 

Sodium saccharin is stable when heated,even in the presence of acids.Sodium saccharin has excellent storage characteristics with a long shelf life of approximately 3-4 years and does not react chemically with other food ingredients.
